Getting Noticed
I found a poem in Space 3 by Alek from Marshall, Alaska
I liked “Watching and Waiting” because it is very descriptive and it explains the person’s feelings.
This poem stood out to me because it has alot of meaning to and it lets out it’s feelings.
I think that poem is nice because there is a lot of feeling going into the poem. She’s saying that watching and waiting is a bad thing because people cannot get noticed if this happens. If people stay quiet then they will not be important.

Do people in the south pole float?
I’d like to know if people in the South Pole float because it looks impossible. If the South Pole is at the bottom of the world then how do they stand? To me it looks like if the are standing in the air. To me it looks like the most reasonable explanation is gravity. If a person had a relative that lived in the south pole then I guess that they would wonder how they stand.
What exactly is gravity?
Gravity is a natural phenomenon by which all objects with mass attract each other, and is one of the fundamental forces of physics. In everyday life, gravitation is most commonly thought of as the agency that gives objects weight. It is responsible for keeping the Earth and the
other planets in their orbits around the Sun; for keeping the Moon in its orbit around the Earth, for the formation of tides; for convection (by which hot fluids rise); for heating the interiors of forming stars and planets to very high temperatures; and for various other phenomena that we observe. Gravitation is also the reason for the very existence of the Earth, the Sun, and most macroscopic objects in the universe; without it, matter would not have coalesced into these large masses and life, as we know it, would not exist

My Poem
I started on my homeworkbut my pen ran out of ink.
My hamster ate my homework.
My computer’s on the blink.
I accidentally dropped it
in the soup my mom was cooking.
My brother flushed it down the toilet
when I wasn’t looking.
My mother ran my homework
through the washer and the dryer.
An airplane crashed into our house.
My homework caught on fire.
Tornadoes blew my notes away.
Volcanoes struck our town.
My homework was taken
by an evil killer clown.
Some aliens abducted me.
I had a shark attack.
A pirate swiped my homework
and refused to give it back.
It took so long to make these up
I realized, with dread,
it would have just been easier
to do the work instead.
